September 2014 Renton, Washington – Global Engineering and Construction, LLC (Global) announced that the company has been awarded a $800 million, firm-fixed price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Task Order Contract to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Research Facilities. Projects shall include, but are not limited to, clinical and patient care units and all related areas to include general and specialized hospital spaces, including surgical areas, general or highly specialized biomedical research laboratory spaces and all associated support areas to include Bio-safety level BSL-2, BSL-3, and BSL-4 laboratory; general or highly specialized animal spaces and all associated support areas at various NIH locations.
