This Project scope was to Provide a Site Survey, Type III Work Plan and Construction to Replace two existing engine generator sets with three 2,250 Kw generators, including new remote radiators; fuel system modifications as required; existing power house structure modification, the “swing” generator and auxiliary equipment and the removal of existing equipment rendered obsolete. The work under this task order will not interfere with operation of existing systems for daily hospital operation. Work involves the critical emergency electrical backup system for the entire hospital, installation of three new 2,250 Kw emergency power generator replacements. Additionally, the replacement effort faces one major environmental challenge: the area surrounding Bldg 137 has been designated as a natural habitat for the endangered Damselfly by the State of Hawaii, Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR).
